British 1859 MK1 Cutlass Bayonet
This is a rare first type MK1 1859 pattern Cutlass Bayonet for the Enfield Two-Band Naval Rifle, with wooden leather covered grips.
Cutlass Bayonet with a 26 ½ inch blade, stamped at the ricasso 'A & EH' for the German blade manufacturer Horster.
Steel bowl guard is stamped with the number '192', pommel stamped '29' and Solingen crown inspection proof.
These cutlass bayonets were used by the British Royal Navy and also used by both sides during the American Civil War.
