WW1 British 1907 Pattern Bayonet for the 6th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders
A P1907 SMLE bayonet, pommel stamped '6. S.E.A' for the 6th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders.
The 6th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders was a Territorial Force unit primarily recruited from Morayshire and the Scottish Highlands. As part of the 152nd Brigade, 51st (Highland) Division, they fought extensively on the Western Front from May 1915 until the armistice, sustaining heavy casualties in major actions like Arras, the Somme, and the Lys.
Bayonet with a 17 inch polished steel blade, ricasso is stamped with the maker name 'WILKINSON' and Kings Crown over '1907' and '8' '17' for the date August 1917.
The blade is clean and undamaged and the wood slab grips are in good undamaged condition.
Complete with it's original steel mounted black leather scabbard.
