A Regimentally marked 1888 pattern MK1 2nd type Lee Metford bayonet Pommel marked ‘W.F’ for the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.
The left Ricasso Showing numerous inspection stamps and issue date of '1 . 90' for January 1890. The right ricasso showing the British broad arrow over W.D and inspector's mark (crown over 52 over E) and "X" bending test mark.
The 12 inch (30.3cm) blade is in excellent condition as are the wooden grips.
Overall length of 16 ¾” (42.5cm).
The bayonet comes with its original black leather steel mounted scabbard and brown leather frog. A good regimentally marked example.
