This is a first issued M1891 Carcano rifle bayonet for the 1891 6.5mm Mannlicher Carcano rifle with 1910 dated brass mounted leather scabbard, (later bayonet's where issued with steel mounted scabbards)
Bayonet with a 30cm blacked steel blade, stamped at the ricasso with Italian Navy inspection mark of a star in a circle, crossguard stamped A332.
The M1891 was used in both world wars.
Both bayonet and scabbard are in very good condition and come complete with original gray leather frog.
