Victorian London Metropolitan Police Truncheon 1848

An early Victorian 17 inch wooden Police truncheon with turned beehive grip.

Truncheon double stamped with a crown over M.P for the London Metropolitan Police.

Truncheon has some faint writing scribed on the pommel, I can make out '1845'.
Very good condition.
