WW1 British 1907 Pattern Bayonet for the 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment

A P1907 SMLE bayonet, pommel stamped '9 R.W.K for the 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

The 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment existed in both World Wars as a service and training battalion, though it never saw active frontline deployment as an infantry unit. During World War I it served as a reserve unit, and in World War II it converted into the 162nd Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps s.

Bayonet with a 17 inch polished steel blade, ricasso is stamped with the maker name 'SANDERSON' and Kings Crown over '1907' and '8' '16' for the date August 1916.

The blade is clean and undamaged and the wood slab grips are in good undamaged condition.

Complete with it's original steel mounted black leather scabbard.
