19 th Century British Coast Guard Type Cutlass
An early 19 th century short cutlass of the type used by the British Coast Guard circa 1820.
Cutlass with a 63cm slightly curved un-fullered steel blade, cast iron 19 groove grip, brass stirrup hilt with additional knuckle guard.
Blade has patches of of aged dark staining, blade is solid in the hilt.
