A very scarce c1887 detectives No.2 truncheon.
This pattern of truncheon was introduced in mid 1887. It was officially called No. 2 truncheon because the standard regulation truncheon of 15 ½ inches, adopted by the London Met in January 1887 was the No. 1 truncheon.
12 ½ inches (32cm) long
