A very scarce Turkish Model 1903 bayonet with a long 524mm pipe back blade, ricasso stamped with Ottoman Turkish script, long swept forward hook quillon, two piece slab wood grips secured by two rivets and pommel with the “Toughra” marking of Abdul Hamid II and Islamic crescent stamp.
The blade is in excellent condition, all markings are clear, some dark age related staining to hilt and a few dents to the wood grips.
Complete with original brown leather steel mounted scabbard (some loss of stitching on the seam).
This is a very scarce bayonet as most existing M1903's have had their blades shortened to 235mm.
