15 ½ inch (39.5cm) wooden police truncheon stamped with a Kings crown & 'Devon Constabulary', leather wrist strap stamped 'Hiatt', circa 1930s – 1940s.
Devon county constabulary was formed in 1856 and was the Home Office police force for the county until 1966.
Truncheon has a hairline crack along one side of the grip but still remains solid and is otherwise in very good condition.
