A very nice example of a Finnish M1928/30 Mosin Nagant bayonet and steel scabbard.
The bayonet ricasso is stamped ‘Sk.Y’ and the cross guard ‘S’ indicating that this bayonet was accepted for service with the Finnish Civil Guard.
The bayonet has a steel pommel and down turn quillion., it has nice birch burl wood grip panels secured with two screw bolts.
The polished steel fullered blade measures just over 11 3/4" and is in very good condition, it is also stamped to the ricasso with the makers stamp, ‘Hackman & Co’.
The steel scabbard is also in good condition and still retains all of its original bluing.
This is a rare and hard to find bayonet.
