A rare 1839 pattern Sea Service Bayonet with a 17 inch (427mm) blade stamped on the face with the maker name 'Makin', crown over 6 inspection stamp and the letter 'a', 4 inch socket with sighting grove in the rim, stamped 'B' '28'

Muzzle ring diameter 24.5mm.

In good undamaged condition with light pitting.
