Socket marked V over 19 S-R for the 19th Scottish Rifles Volunteers.
The 19th Scottish Rifles Volunteers were part of the Victorian Volunteer Movement, formed in response to a perceived threat of French invasion in 1859.
Bayonet is in very good condition with a bright polished blade and blued socket, some areas of light pitting.
