A scarce original British Royal Navy figure-of-eight 1804 pattern boarding cutlass.
The 1804 pattern cutlass was the first regulation pattern cutlass to be introduced by the Royal Navy and saw service during the Napoleonic Wars and the Battle of Trafalgar.
Totally original 1804 figure-of-eight cutlass with a 28 inch blade, 33 inches overall.
Cutlass has pitting throughout, hilt and blade are solid some small damage to top of iron grip.
