A circa 1890 Spanish Cavalry Troopers Sword with a slightly curved 86cm blade, ricasso with maker mark of 'BALLESTEROS. Fca DE ARMAS. TOLEDO' around Spanish Habsburg coat of arms, steel three bar hilt with shagreen wire bound grips.
100cm overall.
Contained in it's original steel scabbard. (See page 140 of World Swords by Harvey Withers).
Sword and scabbard are in very Good condition.
