A British P1907 bayonet regimentally stamped on the pommel '10. KINGS' for the 10th (Scottish) Battalion, King's (Liverpool) Regiment.
The 10th Scottish Battalion, King's Liverpool Regiment was a Territorial Force unit established in 1908 from the Liverpool Scottish Volunteers. Mobilised in Nov 1914, they served on the Western Front, suffering heavy winter losses before joining the 55th (West Lancashire) Division. They fought in major 1916-17 battles, including the Somme and Ypres.
Bayonet with a 17 inch (43cm) blade stamped at the ricasso with a crown and various date and issue stamps.
Complete with original matching number steel mounted black leather scabbard and brown leather frog.
A good untouched example.
